black pepper


There are lots of ayurvedic herbs which you will find in your kitchen and which comes in use everyday. But you may not know there complete use. how each herb helps in curing various ailments..
So now each day i am going to explain one herb...

lets start with BLACK PEPPER...I am sure you all know about it... but i am going to tell you some simple remedies which will help you in treating ailments ..


Its latin name is piper nigrum and its called as kali mirch in hindi... Black pepper is stimulant, digestive, aromatic, digestive and nervine tonic.

In digestive disorders, powdered black pepper thoroughly mixed with malted jaggery can be taken. A quarter teaspoon of pepper powder mixed in thin buttermilk can be taken during indigestion or heaviness of the abdomen.
Pepper is also an effective remedy in cough. Powdered pepper mixed with honey should be taken 3 - 4 times in a day. It will help in clearing your throat.
In muscular pains, a table spoon of pepper powder fried in sesame oil until its is charred can be applied as an analgesic liniment for myalgia and rheumatic pains.
In tooth disorders, powdered pepper and common salt act as an excellent dentifrice. A pinch of pepper powder mixed with clove oil can be put in caries to alleviates the toothache.
In case of acute coryza, 20 gms of pepper powder boiled in milk with the pinch of turmeric powder can be used once daily for three days.

These are few simple remedies which will help curing these common ailments from which one suffers quite often. And this way one can prevent themselves from taking harmful chemicals which eventually hampers your immune system.
